Good to know
Holiday returns
H&M’s US pages don’t mention a holiday extension for 2026. Plan on the standard 30 days.
No receipt?
In-store returns need a valid receipt and tags attached. H&M’s page doesn’t say how returns without a receipt are handled, so keep the receipt or the order email.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the original payment method, such as the card you used. Shipping and handling charges are not refunded. If you paid with a bank-issued gift card, keep that card until all your returns are done.
Fees
In-store returns are always free. A flat $5.99 comes off every mail return of an online order.
- H&M won’t accept any return after 30 days, in store or online.
