69% of US shoppers in one survey kept something they wanted to return, because returning it was too much hassle. Windows are often shorter than people think — and electronics are usually shorter still.

Indian stores often replace faulty electronics rather than refund them, and some windows are counted in hours. Each page says which you get.

Five habits that save returns
- Keep the receipt — a photo is enough. Without proof of purchase many stores give store credit at the lowest recent price, or refuse.
- Check electronics separately. Phones and Apple products are often 14–15 days even where everything else gets 90.
- Keep the box and every accessory until you are sure. Opened items can carry restocking fees.
- Watch for holiday extensions. Kohl’s and Macy’s have already announced theirs for 2026; others usually follow in late October and November.
- Write the last day down the day you buy. That one habit is the whole reason this site exists.
