Counts the first day as day 1, so the date shown is the safe, earliest reading. Your receipt and Sephora’s terms decide.

Holiday returns
Sephora’s returns page does not mention a holiday extension, and none had been announced for 2026 when we checked.
No receipt?
You must have proof of purchase. A packing slip, order or shipping email, the order on your phone, or your Beauty Insider account all count. If the store can find the purchase in its system, the normal policy applies. If it cannot, you get no refund, exchange or credit. Sephora may also ask for a government ID.
Refunds
Mail returns go back to your original payment method. Gift card and online credit payments come back as Sephora.com online credit. PayPal purchases returned in a store come back as store credit, which works only in stores. Klarna and Afterpay follow their own rules. Mail returns can take up to 30 days to process.
Fees
Returning a Sephora.com order is free, with a prepaid label or a printer-free FedEx code. Original shipping charges are not refunded unless Sephora made a mistake.
- Gift cards, some Favorites Kits and some intimate care items are final sale.
- In-store and Buy Online Pick Up orders cannot be returned by mail.
- Sephora at Kohl’s does not take returns of Sephora.com or Sephora store purchases. (See our Kohl’s page for Sephora at Kohl’s.)
- TikTok Shop orders must be returned through TikTok Shop.
