Counts the first day as day 1, so the date shown is the safe, earliest reading. Your receipt and Staples’ terms decide.

Holiday returns
Staples hasn’t posted a 2026 holiday extension; its policy page only shows an old one from 2019.
No receipt?
Staff can look up the purchase if you bring the card you paid with to the same store. If nothing is found, you get in-store credit at the lowest price of the past 30 days, and you’ll need a photo ID.
Refunds
Card purchases are refunded to the card, usually in 3–5 days. Cash purchases get cash back. Cash, check or debit purchases over $500 without the debit card are refunded by check.
Fees
Staples lists no restocking or return fees. Rewards earned on a returned item are lost, and coupons used on the order are forfeited.
- Opened headphones and earbuds, digital software, opened or expired ink and toner, and gift or phone cards can’t be returned.
- Opened software can only be exchanged for the same title.
- Free promotional items must be returned, or their value is deducted from your refund.
